Magnesite brick introduction
Magnesite brick is a high temperature fired basic refractory brick, the main raw material of magnesite brick is magnesite sand which the magnesium oxide content is very high, mostly it is above 90%. Magnesite brick can be divided into sintered magnesite brick and unburned magnesite brick which according to the magnesite brick whether sintered. Sintered magnesite brick is made of high pure magnesite sand as raw material, after grinding, batching, mixing, and molding. it is aways fired at the high temperature of 1550-1600 ℃, for the high purity magnesite brick, the fired temperature is above 1750 ℃.
Magnesite brick characters and application
Sintered magnesite brick has good characters of high fire resistance, good resistance to alkali slag, high initial softening temperature under load, but poor seismic performance. It is mainly used in basic steel making furnace, bottom and wall of electric arc furnace, permanent lining of convertor, non-ferrous metal smelting furnace, high temperature tunnel kiln, lining of cement kiln, bottom and wall of reheating furnace, as checker brick in glass melting furnace regenerator etc.
